Penny Black Blooming Garden

I made this card earlier in the summer and must have been influenced by the hot and bright sunny days!  I used the same flowers from the Blooming Garden set for the embossed and distressed background as I did for the focal point. I needed to break up all that sunny color so I added the Polaroid die cut. The sentiment is also Penny Black: Eloquence. And then I stitched it all together!!

This card may have the recipient reaching for sunglasses! Embossing the background image and then going over it with Distress inks is such a quick and easy way to get an impressive background. And some days we need quick and easy.

It's an overcast Friday here; a relief from the hot and sunny and humid days we've been having.

The riding mower is parked in the front yard waiting for the mower ambulance to whisk it away for a hopefully brief stay and recovery at the mower hospital! Having learned the hourly rate and the pick up and delivery charges, I think I need to check with Blue Cross and see if this is covered!

Thanks for the visit! Don't trip over the mower!

What a sunny beauty, Judy - we can use that today here; it's a bit dreary! LOVE your idea for using the same stamp in the fore and background!

a very bright and sunny card Judy. Love the way you used the Polaroid frame to break up the bright background from the focal flowers. Hope the mower gets fixed quickly
