Some of you know that my nephew's son, Michael, was wounded in Afghanistan by an IED explosion. He spent a week in Germany and on Sunday arrived at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Maryland. My nephew and his wife and daughter were reunited with him on Monday. They posted this photo on their Caring Bridge website this morning. Michael is in ICU dealing with an infection. The family is grateful for the wonderful care Michael is receiving and for the prayers being offered for his recovery.
The photo shows my nephew Jim (Michael's dad) standing on the left, his wife Kim with the lovely red hair and his sister Britany. What appears to be a block of cheese on his left arm is actually a device to protect that wounded hand. His Wisconsin relatives choose to believe he is paying tribute to his "Cheesehead" relatives!
Thanks for stopping by! Check out yesterday's post to see a new Tiffany Doodles image!

It's wonderful to see his handsome face with a smile, Judy. That in itself is amazing, after what he has been through. I'll keep him in my prayers and hope the infection goes away quickly. Thanks for keeping us up to date, my friend! Hugs to you!
Thanks for sharing this photo! I trust that Michael's is on his way to full recovery. This photo just reminds us how US soldiers put their lives at the front line every single day for the peace-keeping in Afghanistan. Please keep us up to date about Michael's well being.
I'm so glad you posted this photo, Judy! Michael and the family appear to be in good spirits considering the circumstances. Praying he will overcome this infection and any other obstacles in the way of his recovery. Please let him know how grateful we are for his service to his country. God bless him!
Bless that boy! Such a brave soldier. Thanks for sharing a photo--this time it makes me happy to see his positive outlook, and his family, too.
thanks for sharing Judy... He looks very positive and happy to be with his family
Judy, he looks so positive, I hope he recovers from his infection soon. On another note, your sunflowers in the vase card looks gorgeous!
