Coloring with PrismaColor Pencils on Kraft

Coloring with PrismaColor Pencils on Kraft by judkajudy.
I follow the tutorials produced in the "Academy" of My Favorite Things. The latest tutorial was coloring with PrismaColor pencils on kraft.

The tutorial states it is not necessary to use Gamsol or other medium to blend the colors. However, I prefer the look of blending and so that is what I did, using Gamsol.

I used my reverse wonky rectangle Nestie to cut out the image and mounted it on kraft that had been embossed with a wood grain pattern. The little butterfly is done with a Martha Stewart punch.

I am on the hunt for the perfect white pen. I have so many that don't work or if they work, it is only for a short time!! Here's the link to the "Academy" at My Favorite Things:  Academy

Have a great day!! I am enjoying time off from household chores due to my cleaning frenzy preparing for Easter company!!

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hi Judy! Darling card! Love your coloring on the kraft!

As far as a white gel pen goes, I use the Uni-ball Signo Broad pen. It's the same one the "queen of white highlights", Kathy Racoosin, uses. I do admit that they run out faster than I'd like, but it is definitely the best one I've tried. I always keep two of them in my stash.

I saw the tutorial at MFT for this coloring technique, Judy. I think yours turned out a lot nicer due to the Gamsol blending. Very cute card - love this particular image so much.

You did an excellent job of coloring on kraft! Dave Brethauer(?) of Memory Box does excellent Prismacolor coloring with no Gamsol. I believe he has some books out on it, too.

Best white pen is the one that Barb mentioned. I love how the little girl appears to be shaking on your card!

Judy this card is simply gorgeous! I love your colouring. I should get my prismacolor pencils out & play with them.

Gorgeous card Judy. Perfect colouring. I saw this tutorial as well. I'm waiting to pick up my Inktense pencils so want to try it with them. love the shaped panel against the embossed background.

This card is so cute Judy with your wonderful coloring - I like using the gamsol also. Love the expression on the little girl's face. I also use the Uni-Ball Signo Pen. I have a Sakura Gelly Roll white pen that works well too.
