Mimi in the Skies by Penny Black

Mimi in the Skies by Penny Black by judkajudy
There are so many reasons why I love this stamp! First, it reminds me of the hot air balloon ride I gave my husband for his birthday one year.

Secondly, I knew it would be a great image for paper-piecing.

And thirdly, it made me smile big!!

I used liquid pearls for the dots on the balloon and copics to color Mimi. And how did I get along without that Fiskars cloud punch??

Having a quiet day here. It is the 28th anniversary of my dh's and my first date!! How sweet is that? We will celebrate with a walk around the lake with Cooper. Hope it's a good day where you are.

Thanks for stopping by.

This card makes me smile big, Judy! You are so right, that image is perfect for paper-piecing. I hope you have a lovely day, what a sweet anniversary to celebrate.
My first date with my hubby was sometime in September of 1975, couldn't tell you the exact day though. I'm impressed that you documented the date. Hugs!

Super cute card, Judy! I especially love the story behind the hot air balloon! Great paper piecing and dimension from the LP.
